Amy Jo Goddard has been bringing her open, non-judgmental and humorous sexuality education to a variety of audiences for over 15 years. She is co-author of Lesbian Sex Secrets for Men and has published other works on sex, gender, sexuality and identity. Currently, she teaches largely to college students and adults, traveling to universities, colleges and other communities to share her queer, feminist perspectives on sexuality and relationships. She also works with individuals and couples as a sex and relationship coach. In 2010, she launched the Women’s Sexuality Empowerment Apprenticeship program in New York City to work with women on a deeper level, guiding them to explore, heal, celebrate, and expand their sexual selves. She is taking the program on the road in 2011. She is a member of many spiritual communities and believes in the strong connection between spirituality and sexuality. When she’s not being a sex geek, she can be found surfing and hanging out on beaches, making art, and vibing on music. Experience
Amy Jo earned her Master’s Degree in Human Sexuality Education at New York University and her bachelor’s in Writing and Literature at the University of California at Santa Barbara. Amy Jo has worked with pre-kindergarteners to teens to adults in sexuality programs in schools, and has trained professionals at a number of community-based organizations. Currently, she is a college faculty lecturer in New York City and has taught workshops at institutions across the country. She has taught workshops to the kink community at Dark Odyssey and has traveled to various other feminist & L/G/B/T/Q communities and conferences with her teaching. She wrote, researched and hosted over 60 episodes of “Fresh Advice”, an online women’s sexuality program formerly on cherrybomb dot com. She teaches pelvic exams to medical students in most of New York’s medical and nursing institutions and is the director and producer of the forthcoming film At Your Cervix, which depicts this unique work.
