Studies on female alternate sexual behavior have been traditionally scarce, incomplete or erroneous since their earliest beginnings in the the 1800s — a trend that continues today — but with a few notable exceptions such as Jennifer Rehor, who presents here a study she researched on kinky women. Rehor used the study as part of her master’s degree thesis in sexuality studies from San Francisco State University. This 12-minute introductory clip begins with the history of scientific literature on female sexuality, with Rehor then moving on to describe how she framed her study to first explore the validity of past studies, the parameters and technique of her survey work (which brought 1,581 responses), and the results. Rehor carefully shows how past studies showed a gross misunderstanding of alternate female sexuality.
