Satisfying our perennial jones for rope, we checked out Professor Oni’s basic hip harness. If you are intimidated or merely curious about rope, check out this video as the Professor demonstrates how simple and sexy rope can be.

We are really digging this Professor Oni guy, he has a very laid back, down to earth approach to instruction. By his side again was the lovely Goddess Shea, whose sexy black latex really ties it all together !

He stated his reasons for the rope he used, and explained briefly what particular tie he was going to demonstrate.  He showed how one can create a pencil skirt, as well as how the hip harness can be tied and used for suspension.

He began by suggesting to think about what your intention is with the hip harness. Is it for suspension, decoration, or sex ? Professor Oni also pointed out the importance of communicating with the person you are tying to insure their comfort  and consent through the entire process.

He identified the starting point on the hips of your subject to begin your tie. He mentioned to “hook underneath the curve” of the hip bone. Then wrapped the rope a couple of times back and forth around the hips.

I was pleased that he showed two basic hip harness styles, the techniques he showed were not complicated, it was quick, simple, and elegant. This is an excellent tutorial for anyone interested in tying a safe simple hip harness.

We liked this rope video a great deal as it was very easy to follow along, very good for someone who might want to expand their rope bondage skill set. Professor Oni makes it a simple, fun tie for any level of rope experience.

We tried out what Professor Oni showed us and came up with the following two variations using our Maui Kink rope in natural and blue hawaii colors.

 

 

My partner Georgia loves to be tied and this hip harness showed off her sexy hips. One of my favorite places of the body to tie rope is this hips, the curve of the skin is really sexy.  I tied the hip harness so I would have something to hold onto while I had my way with Georgia, running my hands and tongue along her body, while I bound her hands behind her back.  We finished the scene with some rousing sex that was a test to see how good that hip harness could hold onto her.

In the end it held pretty good, as we had the rope marks to prove it !
