My partner Georgia and I are rope lovers, so we had our eye on watching some rope videos. Georgia and I have found rope bondage to be, for us, a catalyst to a deeper, more intimate connection between us. Since we are primarily self taught we were very excited to see the many instructional rope bondage videos Kink Academy has to offer.

We chose to start with something we were curious about but, for some reason, had never really tried. Me being focused on decorating Georgia’s lovely body with rope, I seemed to overlook her hair.

.Professor Oni, along with his lovely demo Goddess Shea, has a lesson about hair bondage. Georgia took a place on knee, my hand found the small of her back as my fingernails grazed against her skin and eagerly watched the video.

Professor Oni, who, to me, has the calm demeanor of a college professor occupying himself in between Botany lectures,  began the video by listing the reasons why a person would like to utilize hair bondage. Its use in decorative bondage as well as use for suspension bondage.

He didnt state what type of material he used, only that it has mylar woven into it, and you can get it at any craft store. It would have been helpful to novices to perhaps suggest types of materials specifically.

Professor Oni is very pleasant, enunciates clearly, as well as being very easy to follow along with what he is saying.. Though I would have liked to see the camera or he pause for a moment longer when showing how to “attach” the rope to the hair. We listened and watched as he concluded the tie with different options to create a decorative, yet still functional work of hair bondage.

The hair bondage instruction he presented provided one with the fundamentals without getting caught up with perfect knots or any one particular way to do hair bondage. Professor Oni created a very simple ladder tie that, as we found out, was very easy to recreate.

He pointed out the different reasons to performing hair bondage in the BDSM context, whether you might be doing it as an act of service, or for the purpose of the dominants pleasure.  For us, the act of tying her hair is a highly erotic one, running my fingers through her hair I find myself connecting with her on a deeper level. Stoking the erotic embers between us, tying someone’s hair is excellent foreplay.

So Georgia and I did our own little tie based on what Professor Oni showed us. I took some of the Mohair rope we have from Maui Kink, woven with a bit of green ribbon. It took a couple of tries to get the knot secured as well as affixing the knot securely to her hair. The one disadvantage to using Mohair is it clings to the hair, but we like the feel and look of the Mohair, so thats what we decided to use.

Georgia’s hair is not long enough to do the ladder tie that Professor Oni demonstrated, so I opted to wrap the length of Georgia’s hair. The second wrap I tried I  finished the tie off with a double coin knot for decoration.

 

 

We went to a local arts and crafts fair and showed off our newly learned skills strolling around taking in the woven baskets, clay pots, and landscape watercolor paintings. We had a few people compliment us on the hair “weave”, we thanked them heartily as Georgia and I, hands clasped tightly, looked at each other with a knowing smile, our own kinky secret.

In the end, this video shows  that you dont have to be into rope bondage to enjoy tying someones hair. Just tying your partners hair, feeling it against your skin, them relaxing to the massaging sensations, is a fun erotic act.
